    * Conductor Materials *

         Positive Conductor: It is made of nickel-chromium alloy. The positive pole of the K type thermocouple is usually chromel, which contains about 10% chromium and 90% nickel, and the cable’s positive conductor is made of a similar nickel-chromium alloy to ensure the same thermoelectric characteristics.
    Negative Conductor: The negative conductor is made of nickel-silicon alloy. The negative pole of the K type thermocouple is alumel, mainly composed of nickel with a small amount of silicon and other elements, and the cable uses a corresponding nickel-silicon alloy for the negative conductor.

     
    * Types: It is divided into two types according to the structure: KC and KX.
         KC is a compensating type thermocouple cable, and its alloy wire has a different nominal chemical composition from the K type thermocouple wire, but its thermoelectric potential value is the same as that of the K type thermocouple within the range of 0 – 100°C or 0 – 200°C.
    KX is an extension type thermocouple cable, and its alloy wire has the same nominal chemical composition and thermoelectric potential nominal value as the K type thermocouple.
     
    Function and Application
    * Signal Transmission: Its main function is to transmit the thermoelectric signal generated by the K type thermocouple from the measurement point to the temperature measurement and control equipment, such as temperature indicators, controllers, or data acquisition systems.
    * Application Scenarios: K type thermocouple cables are widely used in the temperature measurement and control of industrial furnaces, boilers, and other equipment in the metallurgical, chemical, and power industries. They are also used in some high-temperature experimental equipment in laboratories.
