        DESCRIPTION / APPLICATIONAlloy 718 is used for welding of Inconel® alloys 718, 706, and X-750. This filler metal is mainly used for welding high-strength aircraft components, and liquid rocket components involving cryogenic temperatures. The weld metal of the Alloy 718 is age hardenable and has mechanical properties comparable to those of the base metals.INCONEL, INCOLOY and MONEL are trademarks of the Special Metals Group of Companies.
