Thermocouple Type K Alumel / Chromel Rod / Stick / Bar 6mm 8mm 9mm 10mm 12mm
TYPE K (CHROMEL vs ALUMEL ) is used in oxidizing, inert or dry reducing atmospheres. It must be protected from sulfurous and marginally oxidizing atmospheres. It is reliable and has high accurate at high temperatures.

0.5″ 12.7mm KP Chromel KN Alumel Thermocouple Type K Rod Application
The characteristic of Type K is that it has strong anti-oxidation performance, and should be used continuously in an oxidizing and inert atmosphere. The long-term use temperature is 1000℃ and the short-term 1200 ℃. It is the most widely used among all thermocouples; (it cannot be used reducing gas atmosphere).
