Details |
Insulation Material |
Utilizes fiberglass insulation, which offers excellent heat resistance and electrical insulation properties. It can operate stably in high – temperature environments, effectively preventing electrical failures such as short – circuits. |
Thermocouple Type |
Belongs to the Type K thermocouple wire, made of NiCr – NiAl alloy. It can accurately sense temperature changes and output corresponding electrical signals. |
Production Capacity and Types
TANKII has strong production capabilities and can produce a variety of thermocouple compensating cables, including but not limited to:
- Type KX
- Type NX
- Type EX
- Type JX
- Type NC
- Type TX
- Type SC/RC
- Type KCA
- Type KCB
Meanwhile, we also offer cables with different insulation materials, such as PVC, PTFE, silicone, and fiberglass, to meet the requirements of various application scenarios.
Working Principle
When the temperature changes, the compensating cable generates a small voltage and transmits it to the connected thermocouple, enabling temperature measurement. Thermocouple compensating cables can also be called instrumentation cables and are commonly used for process temperature measurement. Their structure is similar to that of pair instrumentation cables, but the conductor materials are different. Thermocouples are used to sense temperature and are connected to pyrometers for temperature indication and control. The electrical connection between thermocouples and pyrometers is achieved through thermocouple extension cables / thermocouple compensating cables. The conductors of these thermocouple cables are required to have similar thermo – electric (emf) properties as those of the thermocouples used for temperature sensing.
Compliance with Standards
Our thermocouple compensating products are manufactured in strict accordance with the following standards:
- GB/T 4990 – 2010: “Alloy wires of extension and compensating cables for thermocouples” (Chinese National Standard)
- IEC584 – 3: “Thermocouples – Part 3 – Compensating wires” (International Standard)
Explanation of Compensating Wire Designations
The designations of compensating wires are represented as: thermocouple code + C/X, for example, SC, KX.
- X: Short for “extension”, indicating that the alloy of the compensating wire is the same as that of the thermocouple.
- C: Short for “compensation”, indicating that the alloy of the compensating wire has similar characteristics to that of the thermocouple within a certain temperature range.
