Cupronickel strip

Cupronickel strip is a copper alloy with nickel as the main alloying element. Copper-nickel strips based on copper-nickel alloys with third elements such as zinc, manganese, aluminum, etc. are called zinc-nickel-nickel strips, manganese-nickel-nickel strips, and aluminum-nickel-nickel strips accordingly. Copper-nickel alloy has good corrosion resistance, medium strength, high plasticity, and can be processed by hot and cold pressure.
The white copper strips are divided into five categories: ordinary white copper strips, iron white copper strips, manganese white copper strips, zinc white copper strips and aluminum white copper strips
Ordinary white copper strips mainly have four alloy grades such as B0.6, B5, B19, and B30. The commonly used ones are B19 and B30, and there are more grades in the American standard series. The white copper strip is a continuous solid solution formed by Cu and Ni, with a face-centered cubic lattice, as shown in Figure 1-18. When the temperature is lower than 322 degrees, the copper-nickel phase diagram has a relatively wide composition temperature region of metastable decomposition, adding third elements such as Fe, Cr, Sn, Ti, Co, Si, Al to the Cu-Ni alloy Etc., can change the composition, temperature range and position of metastable decomposition, and can also improve some properties of the alloy. Ordinary white copper plate has good cold and hot workability. It can be smoothly processed into various shapes such as plates, strips, tubes, rods, shapes, and wires. Good welding performance, can be used for soft and hard brazing, gas shielded arc welding and resistance welding, etc.; cutting performance is 20% of free-cutting brass HPb63-3. Ordinary white copper plate has good corrosion resistance, medium strength, high plasticity, can be processed by hot and cold pressure, and good electrical properties. In addition to being used as structural materials, it is also an important high resistance and thermocouple alloy.
